BetterPet Veterinary Urgent Care was created to bridge the gap between your primary care veterinarian and emergency services. We are an after hours walk-in clinic, treating common dog and cat illnesses with compassion and high-quality medical care. We are here for the in-between moments when it’s not quite an emergency, but you can’t afford to wait for regular veterinarian hours. We serve as an extension of your family veterinary practice to provide a warm, trusted and convenient urgent care experience.
Our veterinarians are highly trained in emergency medicine and work closely to support your pet through times of injury, illness and beyond. Our team will communicate comprehensively with your primary care veterinarian to ensure that your pet receives seamless continuation of care.
Renowned veterinarians Dr. Kristy Broaddus and Dr. Megan Allred established BetterPet to bridge a gap for concerned pet owners, local family veterinary practices and emergency rooms. We offer a safe, convenient and welcoming space filled with people who love your pet and have the expertise to deliver exceptional care.
What to Expect
When you arrive, we immediately check to make sure your pet is stable. One of our veterinarians will then examine your pet, discuss a diagnostic and treatment plan with you, and provide an estimate.
Our care team will then administer necessary tests and treatments, dispense medication(s) and send your pet home. We do not hospitalize. If required, we will assist with transfers to an emergency hospital.
We understand that a loved one’s illness or injury can cause undue stress for you as well as your pet. Throughout this process, we are committed to providing compassionate, exceptional care not only through high-quality medical attention for your pet, but also by being there for you. We will be available the entire time to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your pet’s condition and care.
