Our Doctors
Julia Wolfe, DVM
Dr. Julia Wolfe attained her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2007 from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. She has since completed a residency in sports medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and became AVCA certified by the animal chiropractic school at Parker University. Most recently, Dr. Wolfe has expanded her skillset, graduating with a certificate in veterinary acupuncture.
Dr. Wolfe is a member of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Wolfe’s professional interests include equine medicine, sports medicine, and companion animal internal medicine. What Dr. Wolfe finds most rewarding is being able to take an integrative, holistic approach to medicine and patient care. She especially enjoys helping older pets age gracefully by taking a multimodal approach to pain management and mobility.
Away from work, Dr. Wolfe likes to spend her free time with her family and three pets, Andy the Dachshund, Dirty Martini – a Devon Rex, and a Siamese named Peach Bellini.
Eva Jacobs, VMD
Dr. Eva Jacobs grew up in Baltimore, MD, and received her undergraduate degree from
Brown University. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary
Medicine, as a mixed small animal/large animal major. During veterinary school, she was
involved in various projects abroad in Botswana, India, and Thailand. After graduating,
she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore
(Weymouth) Animal Hospital in Massachusetts. She has since been practicing emergency
medicine in Richmond. In her time off from work, she enjoys spending time with her
husband, sweet baby girl, and silly pittie named Freyja.
